Western Power Chooses DGNconform as Standards Management Solution

Perth, Australia, 7 April 2004 - Western Power Corporation has chosen Corporate Montage's MicroStation Office Manager "DGNconform" as their corporate drafting and standards management solution. DGNconform will be used to deploy Western Powers' corporate CAD standards to their various drafting offices and external consultants. Western Power Corporation is Western Australia's leading energy corporation with five major power stations and 26 smaller regional stations across the state.

DGNconform offers a perceptive solution for managing Western Power's data standards and presents the ability to create, validate and assure DGN file data easily. DGNconfom provides users the ability to easily create and maintain drawings to a set standard, minimizing the need to rework or correct symbology during and at the end of a project.

DGNconform will be deployed to and used by project teams that are delivering work to external organisations. DGNconform has greatly assisted Western Power's move to MicroStation V8, and with the production of DGN files that comply with CAD standards of the external organisations.

CAD standards constantly evolve, especially as new projects are taken on board, so DGNconform provides Western Power with the ability to easily make changes or additions to existing standards, or alternatively to create a new project standard. DGNconform's secure server environment greatly assists Western Power in achieving a rapid turn-around in deploying new standards to their drafting offices.
