DGNconform^® Server Version 3 - The simple and interactive way of maintaining design standards

September 2001 - Ever wished there were a way to make checking of design files simpler, easier and less time-consuming? Now there is with DGNconform Server, an uncomplicated way to verify the integrity of your MicroStation design files and maintain quality control, brought to you by Corporate Montage.

DGNconform Server is a server-based solution that will correctly maintain consistent drawing standards, which is crucial to every project. It has the ability to automatically validate the integrity of design files, define features and standards, produce reports on activities and render precise drawings adhering to set standards.

Working similar to a spell-checker, DGNconform Server gives users the ability to convert design files to known symbology requirements. These requirements are set by the Administrator (or users with appropriate access) using the application's Feature Table. When a feature is detected that is not listed in the Feature Table, the element is optionally highlighted, zoomed, flashing or selected in the view window and a list of existing features is displayed in order of closest match. Using the same prescribed rules, users can automatically select features in order to draft accurately. This reduces the amount of time in correcting design files and increases efficiency.

Generation of reports is effortless, as all information is stored in an ODBC database providing ease of retrieval with a database program. The Report Generator has the ability to scan or report on several design files and reference files at a time and provide relevant reports of design file feature integrity.

Quality assurance is guaranteed, as DGNconform Server can certify an approved design file with a watermark. Any changes to the certified file will be made known, acknowledging that the file has been tampered with.

DGNconform stands out in the field of standards checking software in its simplicity to configure and maintain across all users on a corporate Intranet. In addition, the Graphical Point-and-Click Interface of DGNconform Server permits simple configuration. Standards and features can be determined accurately and instantly with the visual editor of the Features Table instead of complicated text file editing.

DGNconform Server adds value to MicroStation allowing correction and verification of data in the design file, generating relevant reports and drafting project standard drawings. It works comfortably together with MicroStation SE and J, and is also available as DGNconform Personal Edition for small businesses.
